Transparency Notice: Premium Model Access Evaluation
At A4F, transparency with our community is one of our core values. We believe in keeping you informed about potential changes that may affect your experience, even when those changes are not yet confirmed.
What We're Evaluating
Due to rising operational costs and provider quota constraints, we are evaluating the possibility of moving some highly resource-intensive state-of-the-art (SOTA) models to Ultra plans.
Important: This is not a confirmed change—simply our commitment to transparency. If any adjustments are made, they would be effective December 15, 2025, with advance notice to all users.
Potentially Affected Models
Only highly resource-intensive SOTA models may be affected. Most models will remain accessible across all plans.
Chat Models:
Premium models from OpenAI (GPT-4 series), Anthropic (Claude series), Google (Gemini Pro/Ultra), xAI (Grok), and other high-tier providers.
Image Models:
Advanced models from Midjourney, Stability AI, DALL-E, and other premium image generation services.
Audio Models:
High-quality models from ElevenLabs, premium text-to-speech providers, and advanced audio generation services.
Why Are We Considering This?
Rising Operational Costs:
Premium SOTA models have significantly higher operational expenses. The cost difference between serving basic and premium models can be 10-50x, making it challenging to sustain unlimited access at current pricing levels.
Limited Provider Quotas:
Our providers impose strict quotas on premium model access. These quotas constrain our ability to serve all users equally, especially during peak usage periods. By focusing premium model access on Ultra plans, we can better manage these quotas and ensure consistent availability.
Service Quality and Reliability:
Ensuring reliable access to premium models requires careful resource management. By allocating premium models to Ultra plans, we can guarantee better performance, lower latency, and higher success rates for these high-demand models.
Platform Sustainability:
We are committed to maintaining affordable pricing while covering operational costs. This evaluation helps us explore sustainable paths that keep the platform accessible while providing premium features to those who need them most.

What Stays the Same
Free Tier Models: All free tier models remain completely free with no changes
Basic & Pro Plans: Most models will continue to be accessible across all subscription tiers
API Compatibility: No changes to API endpoints, authentication, or integration methods
