Integration Process

Our typical integration process involves the following steps:

1. Initial Contact & Discussion: Reach out to us with details about your models and API. We'll schedule a discussion to understand your offerings and alignment with A4F.
2. Technical Assessment: Our team will review your API documentation and conduct a technical assessment to determine compatibility and integration effort.
3. API Mapping & Development: We work collaboratively to map your API parameters and responses to the A4F standard. This might involve minor adjustments or adapter development on our end.

5. Onboarding & Listing: Once testing is successful, your models are onboarded to the A4F platform and listed on our Models page, making them available to A4F users.

Technical Requirements (General)

While specific requirements can vary, generally we look for:

• A RESTful API endpoint for model inference.
• Clear API documentation, including request/response formats, authentication methods, and error codes.
• Support for API key-based authentication (or a method easily adaptable to it).
• JSON request and response payloads.
• Ability to handle concurrent requests and scale as needed.
• Defined rate limits and clear communication channels for any API changes or maintenance.

Data & Security

A4F prioritizes data privacy and security. When routing requests to your service:

• A4F acts as a proxy. User data (prompts, completions) is passed through to your API.
• We expect our provider partners to have robust data handling and security policies in place, which should be clearly communicated to users.
• A4F does not train its own models on user API data routed to providers. Please see our Privacy Documentation and Privacy Policy for details on A4F's data practices.
